http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/bostonmassacre.htm (from the British perspective) CAUTION: some students may be distressed over the close-up of Paul Revere's engraving of the event.

http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/bostonmassacre/bostonmassacre.html ( an interesting site with original souce documentation. The quote by John Adams is fascinating. There's far more information on this site than the children could possibly take in, but just providing the children with snippets of information will help them better understand the two sides of this event. Please ignore the "assessments" given by the producer of the web page. I want the children to form their own opinions of the events.)

The Boston Tea Party: http://www.boston-tea-party.org/pictures/picture3.html (The pictures are "safe" and the captions are original testamonies of the event) CAUTION: watch the Google ads that come up....I had to click the "X" on several of them.

The Boston Tea Party: "A number of brave & resolute men, determined to do all in their power to save their country from the ruin which their enemies had plotted, in less than four hours, emptied every chest of tea on board the three ships commanded by the captains Hall, Bruce, and Coffin, amounting to 342 chests, into the sea!! without the least damage done to the ships or any other property. The matters and owners are well pleas'd that their ships are thus clear'd; and the people are almost universally congratulating each other on this happy event."

http://www.bostonteapartyship.com/the-secret-plan (great site! In case you had never learned this in school, the Sons of Liberty had taken legal measures through the British Court system to keep the ships from unloading the tea. When that failed, they went to "Plan B.")
